Summer or winter? My answer would be definitely Winter 🙂 I love everything that is related to this season: the snow, the Christmas time, the mulled wine … So I was so happy when we planned our Christmas holidays and decided to go the enchanting Switzerland , a journey into the real winter wonderland. On the agenda was to visit the mountain Jungfraujoch and ride the Bernina Express through the most beautiful landscapes.
The choice for our accommodation fell on Hotel Kreuz & Post in Grindelwald.
Why Hotel Kreuz & Post?
The location: First, the hotel is located in the center of Grindelwald, the train station is only about 5 minutes walk away. In front of the hotel is the bus station.
The view: The hotel is located opposite to the famous Eiger North Face. The view from our balcony was unique.
Family atmosphere: The hotel is owned by a family and you can feel it in every detail and care for the guests. The boss herself helped to serve dinner, held a chat with the guests in between and even briefly told the story of the house.
Nightlife: In the house itself, there are two bars and even a party location with live music and all that belongs to it. The entrance is free for the hotel guests.

Sommer oder Winter? Meine eindeutige Antwort würde Winter lauten:) Ich liebe alles, was mit dieser Jahreszeit zusammenhängt: den Schnee, die Weihnachtszeit, den Glühwein…Umso größer war die Freude, als wir unsere Weihnachtsferien in der zauberhaften Schweiz verbringen wollten. Eine Reise in das echte Winterwunderland.
Auf der Agenda stand das Jungfraujoch zu besuchen und mit dem Bernina Express durch schönste Landschaften zu fahren.
Die Wahl für unsere Unterkunft fiel auf das Hotel Kreuz & Post in Grindelwald und das war eine sehr gute Entscheidung:
Warum das Hotel Kreuz & Post?
Die Lage: Erstens befindet sich das Hotel im Zentrum von Grindelwald, der Bahnhof ist in ca. 5 Minuten Fußweg zu erreichen. Direkt vom Hotel verkehren die Busse in diverse Richtungen.
Die Aussicht: Das Hotel befindet sich gegenüber der berühmten Eiger Nordwand. Der Blick auf die Wand von unserem Balkon war einzigartig.
Familiäre Atmosphäre: Das Hotel ist im Besitz einer Familie und das spürt man in jedem Detail und in der Fürsorge für die Gäste. Die Chefin half selber beim Servieren des Abendessen, plauderte zwischendurch mit den Gästen und erzählte sogar kurz über die Geschichte des Hauses.
Nightlife: Im Haus selber befinden sich zwei Bars und sogar noch eine Party-Location mit Live- Musik und alles was dazu gehört. Für die Hotelgäste ist sogar der Eintritt umsonst.
